The Microphone X USB Condenser Microphone from Aphex is a USB microphone capable of up to 24-bit/96 kHz conversion and is designed for use in podcasting, voiceover, narration, and home studio recording. It features a built-in Aphex preamplifier and a switchable optical compressor for controlling your dynamic range while recording.

The Microphone X also has Aphex’s Aural Exciter and Big Bottom processors built-in. The Aural Exciter is designed to increase warmth and intelligibility while the Big Bottom adds low frequency harmonics without boosting their level.

Both processors are switchable and have independent level control knobs located on the rear of the mic. The Microphone X also features a built-in headphone amplifier with a 1/8″ output that allows you to monitor your recording and playback from your DAW.
